If I write 'pertinence' it is because the result is pretty much known in advance. August and December will see the completion of the realignment of forces that started in August 2004 and thus will close, for better or worse, a cycle in Venezuelan history. Whether we like it, or see any pertinence to it, we are again at election time in Venezuela.
